It’s important to schedule a free hair cut with us before you lose your hair. The hair usually falls out 2 weeks from the first treatment – so we suggest cutting it no later than 10 days after your first treatment.
During your appointment, we will section off 1 ½″ ponytails, and cut the hair as close to the scalp as you let us. The shorter you cut it, the more length you will have on the halo. We cut it in ponytails to ensure all your hair is facing the same direction to minimize tangling. Your hair strands are then made into a straight line called “wefts of hair”, and sewn from temple to temple onto a comfortably-knitted cap that surrounds your head in a “U-shape”
The process of creating a halo wig is labor-intensive and can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks, and costs $1,000. If there’s not enough hair to make a halo, we can supplement hair for an additional $100 per 16” of hair.
Available in three cap sizes 19”, 21”, and 23”, and can be straight, wavy or curly.
